Reproduction In Animals Biology Class 9 Lesson Plan group of tutors

Reproduction In Animals Lesson Plan Class 9th: As you know, lesson plans are detailed descriptions of the course of instructions or “learning trajectories” for teachers. Lesson plans are developed on a daily basis by teachers to guide class learning.

Details may vary depending on the preference of the teachers, the subject being covered, and the needs of the students.

Here we present Class 9th Biological Science Lesson Plans for teachers and B.Ed/B.El.Ed students. This Reproduction In Animals 9th Science is beneficial for all the teachers and B.Ed/D.El.Ed aspirants from several universities like JAMIA, MDU, CRSU, DU, IGNOU, IPU, etc.

You can browse this Reproduction In Animals Lesson Plan (Biological Science Lesson Plans) and can also download the PDFs from the links given below.

We have provided a mega lesson plan format, which will help you in understanding the pattern of the lesson plans and also the content, headings you need to add to your lesson plans.

Well students! Today we are going to study an interesting topic, “Reproduction In Animals”.

11. PRESENTATION OF THE TOPIC (Reproduction In Animals Lesson Plan)

Here is the presentation:

Subject MatterPupil Teacher’s ActivityPupil ActivitiesTeaching Aids

Introduction to Reproduction

Reproduction is the process of giving rise to an offspring.

There are two modes of reproduction:

– Sexual reproduction
– Asexual reproduction
P.T Will start the presentation and explain the concept of reproduction.
P.T will tell the two modes of reproduction.
Pupil will listen carefully.
Students will note down the points.

Asexual reproduction

The type of reproduction in which only a single parent is involved is called asexual reproduction.
Sexual reproduction

The type of reproduction, which involves two parents to give rise to an offspring is called sexual reproduction.

Types of Asexual Reproduction

It is a type of asexual reproduction in which a single-celled organism divides into two or multiple.
Example: Amoeba.

A bud starts as an outgrowth on the parent body.
Example : Hydra , Yeast

Cell Division

Reproduction essentially involves cell division.
There are two types of cell division:
– Mitosis
– Meiosis
P.T will explain the Types of Asexual Reproduction.
Pupil teacher will dictate the content briefly.
Students will note down each and every point and ask queries to the teacher.

Sexual Reproduction in Humans

Male reproductive system

– The male reproductive system consists of a pair of testes, a pair of sperm ducts and a penis.

– The testes are located outside the male body.

Sperms are produced in testes.

– Sperms are the male gametes
P.T will explain Male Reproductive System via chart.Students will see the charts clearly and try to understand the system and its labelling.

Sperms are the male gametes produced by testes in humans.
P.T will draw the diagram of Sperm for better understanding.Students will note down the parts.

Female reproductive system

– The female reproductive system consists of a pair of ovaries, a pair of fallopian tubes (oviducts) and a single uterus.

– Ova are produced by ovaries.

– Fallopian tubes (oviducts) carry the ova from ovaries to the uterus.

– Uterus holds the growing embryo/foetus and thus helps in holding the pregnancy.
P.T will explain the parts of  Female Reproductive system via better labellingStudents will see the charts and then try to relate the points with the chart.

The ovary produces the female gametes known as ovum or ova (plural).
P.T will draw the diagram of Sperm for better understanding.Students will note down the parts.

Fertilization is the process of fusion of the male gamete with the female gamete.
P.T will explain the process of fertilisation via chart.Students will note down the points and try to understand the process.

Well students, today we have learnt about Reproduction, its mode, Reproductive organs etc.

The pupil-teacher evaluates the students by asking some questions:

1. What do you mean by fertilization?

2. What do you mean by Reproduction?

3. What are the modes of reproduction in plants??

4. What are is the difference between Sexual and Asexual Reproduction?

State right (✔) or wrong (✘)

  1. Internal Fertilisation occurs in Female Body (    )
  2. The number of nuclei present in Zygote are three (    )
  3. A tadpole develops into a frog by the process of Metamorphosis (    )
  4. Testosterone is a Female Hormone (    )

  • Write a short note on IVF?
  • Tabulate the difference between Sexual and Asexual Reproduction?
  • Tabulate the difference between Male Reproductive and Female Reproductive System?
  • Draw the diagram of Male gamete and Female Gamete?
