Tissues Lesson Plan Class 9th SST: As you know, lesson plans are detailed descriptions of the course of instructions or “learning trajectories” for teachers. Lesson plans are developed on a daily basis by teachers to guide class learning.
Details may vary depending on the preference of the teachers, the subject being covered, and the needs of the students.
Here we present Class 9th Biological Science Lesson Plans for teachers and B.Ed/B.El.Ed students. This Tissues Lesson Plan Class 9th Science is beneficial for all the teachers and B.Ed/D.El.Ed aspirants from several universities like JAMIA, MDU, CRSU, DU, IGNOU, IPU, etc.
You can browse this Tissues Lesson Plan (Biological Science Lesson Plans) and can also download the PDFs from the links given below.
We have provided a mega lesson plan format, which will help you in understanding the pattern of the lesson plans and also the content, headings you need to add to your lesson plans.

10. ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE TOPIC
Well students! Today we are going to study an interesting topic, “Tissues Lesson Plan”.
11. PRESENTATION OF THE TOPIC (Tissues Lesson Plan)
Here is the presentation:
Subject Matter | Pupil Teacher’s Activity | Pupil Activities | Black-Board Work |
---|---|---|---|
Tissue A group of cells that are specialized to perform a particular function forms a tissue. Tissues are mainly classified into two types: | P.T Will start the presentation and explain the concept of Tissue | Pupil will listen carefully. | |
Tissues are mainly classified into two types: 1. Plant tissues → Plants do not move, i.e., they are stationary. → Most of the tissues they have are supportive, which provides them with structural strength. → Some of the plant tissues keep on dividing throughout the plant life. These tissues are localised in certain regions. | P.T will tell the types of tissue. 1. Plant tissue 2. Animal tissue | Students will note down the points. | |
Types of Plant Tissues: A. Meristematic Tissue Meristematic tissues are responsible for growth in plants. Meristematic tissues are of three types: (i) Apical Meristem: It is present at the growing tip of the stem and roots and increases the length. . (ii) Lateral Meristem (cambium): It is present beneath the bark. It is responsible for growth in girth of trunk. (iii) Intercalary Meristem: It is present at internodes or base of the leaves and increases the length between the nodes. | P.T will explain the different types of plant tissue. 1. Meristematic Tissue B. Permanent Tissue | Students will note down each and every point and ask queries to the teacher. | |
B. Permanent Tissue → Cells of meristematic tissues change their shape & size to get specialised in performing other functions in plants body. This process is called Differentiation. Permanent tissues are of two types: Simple tissues and Complex tissues | Pupil teacher will dictate the content briefly. | Students will see the charts clearly and try to grab the content via chart. | |
(i) Simple tissues: This type of tissue is composed of same type of cells. These are again of four types: (a) Parenchyma simple tissues Cell walls are thin and made up of cellulose b) Collenchyma simple Tissues Cell walls are thick at the edges due to the deposition of pectin (c) Sclerenchyma Simple Tissues Cell walls are thick due to the deposition of lignin (d) Protective tissues | P.T will tell the types of permanent tissue. | Students will note down the points. | |
(ii) Complex tissues: Group of different type of cells performing common task together are named as complex tissues. Complex tissues are of two types: (a) Xylem (b) Phloem (a) Xylem: This is the tissue that transports water and nutrients from root to upper parts of plant. (b) Phloem: Phloem is the tissue that transports food from site of photosynthesis to different parts of plants. | Pupil teacher explain the complex tissue via chart. | Students will see the charts and then try to relate the points with the chart. |
11. GENERALISATION
Well students, today we have learnt about Tissues and their types.
12. RECAPITULATION
The pupil-teacher evaluates the students by asking some questions:
1. What do you mean by Tissue?
2. What are the Types of Plant Tissue?
State right (✔) or wrong (✘)
- Apical meristem is present at the growing tips of stems and roots ( )
- Sclerenchyma made the plant tissue soft ( )
- Xylem and Phloem are the types of Animal tissues ( )
13. HOME WORK
- Draw a chart of Types of Plant and Animal Tissue?
- Tabulate the difference between Parenchyma, Collenchyma and Sclerenchyma?
- Tabulate the difference between Simple and Complex Tissues?
